Hunter Fan Company Reveals Addition of Google Home Integration to SIMPLEconnect™ Smart Fan Collection

January 8, 2017— Memphis, TN – Hunter Fan Company, the leading manufacturer of ceiling fans, unveils their latest smart-home integrated partnership with multinational technology company, Google. Officially announced at the 2018 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, the integration of Google Home positions Hunter as the only residential ceiling fan brand to boast compatibility with all three of the most popular home-automation devices in the world. In addition, the SIMPLEconnect™ collection will expand with the spring 2018 release of a new fan design – the Advocate, which will tout the lowest profile measurements in the smart fan industry.

With more than 24 million smart speakers sold in 2017, as reported by Strategy Analytics, Hunter is broadening the way that people use their smart technology through its existing relationships with both Apple HomeKit and Amazon Alexa, and now with Google Home.

“We are immensely driven by our consumer’s wants and needs. When we analyze the trends and marketplace, and observe how receptive users are to smart connectivity, specifically through virtual assistants, we look to fulfill those desires by partnering with those platforms,” said Hunter CEO, John Alexander. “The connected landscape is becoming more convenient and manageable, and we believe it is our job to bring both thoughtfully designed and expertly crafted products to that ever-evolving market.”

In addition to the Goggle Home integration, Hunter expands its suite of voice-assisted fan options with the introduction of the Advocate, available spring 2018. A sleek and contemporary style, the Advocate makes for the lowest-profile connected fan design on the market, measuring less than 11” inches from the ceiling to the bottom of the light fixture. The Advocate will start retail at $349 and will be available in three finishes; Matte Nickel, Noble Bronze and Fresh White. The complete SIMPLEconnect™ WiFi-enabled collection starts at $299 and is availableat HunterFan.com, as well as in lighting showrooms, home centers and online retailers nationwide.

Classy Clutter: Prescott View Home Reno, Master Bedroom Sources

Classy Clutter’s blog highlights her glamorous master bedroom makeover featuring the chandelier inspired Hepburn modern ceiling fan in white and modern brass.

“I have never LOVED a ceiling fan because from a design stand point, there are few that aren’t an eyesore. This is the opposite. I have had SO many questions about it and I feel like that’s why we can agree this one takes the cake.”

The Washington Post: Are ceiling fans the kiss of death for design? Not necessarily.

The Washington Post Online featured the Symphony smart home ceiling fan and mint Cranbrook modern ceiling fan in its feature on how ceiling fans are “smarter, sleeker and quieter than ever.”

“Picking the right style of ceiling fan can be tough, but brands and retailers have made it easy to shop based on your taste and space. Hunter’s Website (hunterfan.com) lets you shop by look (casual, traditional, global and so on) and then narrow down the options by noting your hardware and flooring.”

The Denver Post: Ceiling fans that look cool while keeping you cool

The Denver Post highlights a myriad of rustic, vintage inspired ceiling fans and mid-century modern ceiling fans by Hunter Fan Company.

“Ceiling fans are smarter, sleeker, and quieter than ever

It doesn’t matter how design-minded you are- when the temperature approaches triple digits, you want to beat the heat. But ceiling fans are a contentious topic. Blacklisted by designers for being noisy, tacky and outdated, they’re often the first thing to go in a home renovation and a cause for debate in divided households in which one party wants circulation and one wants style.”

USA TODAY: Here’s how Home Alone’s Kevin McCallister would booby trap his home 2017

How could Hunter’s Symphony smart home ceiling fan help Kevin McCallister from Home Alone set the trap for the burglars? USA Today had some ideas.

“When Home Alone debuted more than 25 years ago, poor Kevin McCallister, left behind by his family, was forced to use regular household objects like glue, paint cans, wire, and blow torches to protect his house (and himself) from would- be robbers. Kevin made do with his supplies, successfully booby trapping the house, but we can’t help thinking his would have been a lot easier if he had today’s smart home technology on his side.

Here’s how we imagine Kevin would booby trap his house 2017 with the help of the latest home tech.”

Tag & Tibby: Before & after, my home office reveal

Julia of Tag & Tibby wanted a home office ceiling fan to create a modern work space, so she chose the white Ronan caged ceiling fan. This modern ceiling fan comes with reversible blades to customize the ceiling fan’s look, and Julia chose to show off the rustic wood finish.

“Hey friends! Today is the day I get to share my home office with you! I spend the majority of my day here working on a mix of freelance work. The home office is also where our two kids do their homework in the evening (photos below of the kids’ table). And our grey couch doubles as an extra bed when guests are visiting.

My office was a room that was reasonably functional: with a vintage desk and a couch– but the beige walls, bare accessories, and dated ceiling fan made the space feel blah. Below I’ll show you what you can do with a fresh paint and a few new accessories!”
